From Heather Elyse's "coming soon" website: "HEATHER ELYSE IS ONE OF THE MOST CONTROVERSIAL WOMEN IN THE ADOPTION WORLD. HERE IS A SNEAK PEAK INTO HER PERSONAL LIFE AND MINISTRY."
We would like to propose being one of the "most controversial women" is not an attribute one should look for in an adoption facilitator...
If you have been reading this website but still wonder who exactly Heather Elyse is, we have created the following based on her online public records. Her private records are also available if paid for online. But we believe the following should give you some insight.
This chart shows names possibly associated with
Heather Elyse. These names were obtained
from internet sources (with the exception of two, as noted) and should not be
construed as definitive in nature. Only
one source per name is listed, although there may exist multiple references to
the specific name.

Heather Kelly
|
Heather claimed verbally and in writing that she was
married to Steve Boyd Kelly and used the last name “Kelly” at
times. This was not found on internet sites but visiting families in early 2012 met Steve who was living with Heather in an apartment at Club Indigo in Montrouis, Haiti. Heather was wearing a ring and introducing him as her husband. He was no longer living with her by summer 2012.

Heather Garcon

In Haitian court in July 2013 Heather's Haitian creche director, Pierre Wesmin Garcon, referred to
her as his wife. This
was confirmed by an American missionary fluent in Creole and other Americans present in court. Other sources in
the GHRM community in Haiti confirm that Wesmin believes the two are engaged.

To the best of our knowledge, Heather does not have any training or experience in social work and has no prior experience working as an adoption professional either in the United States or overseas.
Previous employment for Heather (under any of the names above) is very vague. Heather has stated the following about her employment: she is employed as a director of commercials for groups such as Gap and Target, she is a creative writer for films, she is a professional photographer, and she works with famous adoptive parents in California whom she will not identify when questioned.
The only employment verifiable is her role as Children's Minister with Olive Branch Church of God in Indiana during the year of 2010, her one month role as Director for GAP Ministries in Haiti in November of 2010, and possibly volunteer work assisting a photographer in Oklahoma prior to 2010.
Through Internet searches a number of charitable/fundraising
organizations appear to have been founded by or in some manner affiliated with
Heather Elyse. Some of these may have
non-profit status or pending status claimed.
